此処の通りは、市役所通りから一本裏通りにある商店街通りで、大町商店街通りと呼称しています。岩手銀行等もあり以前は、おもちゃ屋・本屋・呉服店・スーパー「あぶらや」等がお店を出していて活気に満ちた通りだったと思っています。
