駅前通りは、大町通り丁字路交差点から陸前高田駅前までの約500メートルの駅前通りで、マイヤ通り(高田街道)から県道141号線までの約250メートルが、アーケード通りとなっています。此処の通りも大町通り商店街と同じく閉店される店舗が増えてきてシャッターが、下りている店舗が多く見受けられ昔の華やかさは「イベント」の時だけの様に感じられます。
