高田駅前通り約1キロを歩行者天国として毎年恒例の「チャオチャオ陸前高田道中踊り」を開催しました。途中から小雨が降る悪条件の中、地域団体の方々は雨に濡れながらも一生懸命踊っていました。リプル、高田病院、米崎町女性会、横田女性会など、たくさんの団体が参加し、約1キロの沿道を埋め尽くしました。特に、揃いの着物を着て踊る姿が一種の感動さえ覚えるものでした。
