陸前高田郵便局は、以前大町通りの「岩手銀行」の向いに有りましたが、老朽化等に伴い現在の場所に移転しました。郵便局の周りには森の前児童公園や斜め前には岩手県交通(昔の名称“県南バス”)の営業所等があります。
