松峯神社は、丁度脇ノ沢駅の真裏に辺り、駅からは約1.5キロ位でした。徒歩で線路を横切り進んでいくと傾斜のキツイ坂が、松峯神社参道まで続いており燦々と降る日射の中ではきつかったです。神社までの道路は、整備されているので車でも参道までは行けます。

松峯神社の参道をくぐると神明造の本殿、幣殿、拝殿、奥の院などで構成されており、近くには石碑等もあり厳かな感がしました。
神社脇には御神木が、有るとの噂を聞いていたので、是非とも御神木を撮影したいと思っていたのですが、残念ながら有りませんでした。周りの方から聞いてみたら松峯神社では、４年に一回、11月10日に「松峯例大祭」が盛大に行われるとの事でした。

雪景色の脇ノ沢駅ホームを撮影した後、新年のご挨拶を兼ねて松峯神社の雪景色の参道を撮ってきました。青い空と白い雪の見事な自然美のコントラストに見とれてしまいました。新年も四日を過ぎると参拝客は誰もおらず、自然が作り出した美しさに浸りながらのんびりとした時間を過ごした一時です。地元の人の話によると高田町長砂に祀られている八坂神社はこの松峯神社からの分霊を受けて元亀二年に建立されたとの事でした。
