海と砂浜と黒松林の境を一本の道が、約2kmの砂浜と7万本の黒松を守るように続いている松原サイクリングロードです。始点は高田町中宿から気仙町砂森の水門付近まで。海風を受けて走るサイクリングは夏の暑さを忘れさせてくれるでしょう。

この日は、まだ春の訪れとは計り知れなく風が冷たい寒い日でしたが、これから訪れる観光シーズンを前にして管理の方やボランティアの方々が砂浜の清掃をしていました。普段のサイクリングロードは自転車が主ですが、この日ばかりはリヤカーが荷を積んでロードを占めていました。
